STABLE FROM 11 YEARS TO 77 YEARS OF AGE
'The class of '32 comes of age' - Professor Ian J. Deary, University of Edinburgh.
67 years ago the Scottish Council for Research in Education unknowingly started one of the world's highest quality studies of ageing and mental abilities. The participants were 11 years old. There were almost 88,000 of them. Now, many of them are still around, and they are almost 80 years old. And some are now coming back to be tested again. Researchers at the Universities of Edinburgh and Aberdeen are collaborating with SCRE to find the secrets to a mentally and physically healthy old age.

Ian Deary's research - The Class of 1932 Comes of Age.
